I drew an angel card for myself today that I wanted to share with you as it was a good reminder for me. I drew “Children” which says “You are asked to pay extra attention to your children or to your inner child right now. Or new children may be coming into your life”. My children are grown and have lives of their own and we talk pretty often (for boys J). I don’t expect new children in my life…but I have neglected my inner child. I have been very busy for the past several months with business related matters and that has not left much time for play. Perhaps your life has been a bit lopsided as mine has. This weekend I was planning to do some heavy garden work and now it may rain all weekend, so I though I may just “work”. After drawing this card, I will rethink that and perhaps do something fun. The other day I had the urge to dance, I think it’s because I haven’t had as much exercise this week. I admire some people who are so uninhibited that they can dance wildly in public. So far, I am not one of those people, but perhaps I will put some wild tribal music on this weekend and just let loose. Movement is so good for us. Stretching and crossing over our bodies is great for our body’s energy. Little kids move constantly, did you ever notice that? They are so uninhibited…that’s how we all use to be. Life and all that goes with it often causes us to lose that sense of freedom and inhibition. I challenge you to play with your inner child this weekend. Do something fun, be a little crazy, move, laugh, go exploring, and allow that sense of enchantment that you had as a child. An interesting side note…my husband’s angel card today was “Enchantment” which says “Recapture your childlike sense of wonder and awe”…coincidence??
