Collaborative treatment model:
The Bridge to Health’s treatment model begins with a holistic evaluation for each client that focuses on medical, lifestyle and personal history, including mind, body and spirit. Although The Bridge to Health provides services to clients for a variety of issues, areas of speciality included chronic pain, sleep problems,  stress management, anxiety and weight loss. 

We work collaboratively with the client to develop a plan to achieve health and wellness goals, and ultimately attain optimal health. Our weight management program is specially tailored to meet individual needs, incorporating nutrition, exercise and mind-body techniques such as hypnosis, imagery, and energy psychology techniques as appropriate.

Nutrition and Lifestyle Counseling/Coaching:
Clients are provided instruction on nutrition, vitamins, other supplements, and herbals. You are taught how to read labels, choose a quality product and generally be an informed consumer. Potential herb/drug interactions are reviewed, along with available evidence on the effectiveness and safety of the product. Nutritional counseling incorporates the elements of an anti-inflammatory diet, glycemic index and glycemic load, as well as standard nutritional information.

Consultation on Herbals and supplements:
Consultation on herbals (botanicals) and supplements including current research, safety, potential interactions, and potential benefits.

Hypnosis:
Clients are taught self-hypnosis as a tool to successfully lose weight, quit smoking, deal with chronic pain and enhance their self-healing abilities.

Interactive Guided Imagery:
The power of imagination can be recruited to promote specific physiological changes as an aid to healing, lose weight, stop smoking, manage chronic pain and headaches, deal with depression, anxiety and the stressors of life that may lead to high blood pressure and heart disease.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT):
Considered a form of psychological acupuncture, EFT is extremely effective in the areas of pain management, weight management, smoking cessation, hypertension, as well as insomnia and anxiety. This can also be helpful with allergies, and managing stress and strong emotions.

PSYCH-K(TM):
A technique to create "whole-brain" thinking and change subconscious beliefs to help clients meet their goals. This can be especially helpful in the areas of pain management, weight management, smoking cessation, hypertension, as well as insomnia, depression and anxiety. It is also useful in making lifestyle changes to attain any goal.

Biofeedback:
Clients learn to gain control of their body's internal functions through relaxation techniques. Feedback is given through the use of a computer. Biofeedback is especially helpful for headache, anxiety, chronic pain, and high blood pressure.

Energy Self-Care Techniques:
Clients learn how to do simple techniques to keep their body's energy moving and working for them in maintaining optimal health.
